Winter 2010 Commercial Film Challenge - Plymouth, MI

WHAT IS THE CFC?

The first film competition of its kind that uses local student filmmakers to create affordable commercials for small business owners.

Student and experienced amateur filmmakers and their teams--write, create, film, and edit small business commercials to compete for scholarships and other prizes.

Small business owners will get a :60 second commercial to help promote their business to their local target audience.  FilmEmerge will promote the commercials online through it's partnerships with other web marketing companies.  In addition, through it's non-profit foundation, The FilmEmerge Foundation, it will assist business owners with promotion of their commercials to local broadcast networks and cable companies.

100% of net proceeds from the FilmEmerge Commercial Film Challenge raise funds for The FilmEmerge Foundation and other charitable causes.

THE CFC MISSION

The Commercial Film Challenge, presented by The FilmEmerge Foundation is a registered Non-Profit organization in Michigan. We are dedicated to showcasing our wide spectrum of film talent and promote a cohesive creative culture from both public and private educational institutions.

The State of Michigan is an economic force, leveraging our experience and enthusiasm to generate new levels of opportunity in an emerging creative economy, and to build strong relationships with the world’s cinema, media and entertainment industries.

By focusing all of our creative energies together, the CFC encourages creative innovation from the film, video, music and entertainment markets.  This is supported by local educational institutions, and professional development of people young and old- who form our emerging film culture.

THE CFC SCOPE

By serving as a forum for the talent, technology and resources we help form a "creative density" that is attracting the attention of the world.  The CFC features at its core, quality commercials for small emerging businesses--created by local students and/or amature cinematographers
